Hi, so I just found your podcast today. I haven’t listened to each podcast before this one, but I wanted to let you know. I have somewhat the same opinion of the flowhive as you have. Regarding the comment about your potentially driving new beekeepers away from the hobby, There are already plenty of beekeepers who quit after the first year. The flowhive to me just seems to be a higher entry cost to a hobby that they are just as likely to quit from as they are with regular equipment. I think recommending the flow hive to a first year beekeeper is about the most irresponsible recommendation one can make. First learn if you can keep bees, then if you want to add a flow hive super later, the go for it.
